Iphone Speakers for Parties?

I plan to throw a huge halloween party and obviously, loud booming music is kind of essential for a high school party. I made a playlist on SoundCloud. I have small speakers available, but i don't think they can produce the volume i'm looking for. Is there any way to amplify music on an iphone or if there's a good enough speaker for about a $100 or less? Also, i prefer to not to have a bluetooth speaker because i don't really know how to use em, i've always had to use an AUX cord… But if it has to be, then so be it, i can figure it out.

I really like the JBL Flip 2 its pretty amazing for how small and compact it is. I got mine at a T-mobile store for 80 bucks. It can do bluetooth and aux! Its loud and clear which is awesome. I love mine. If you want the macdaddy they have something called the UE boom series, where you can pair 2 at a time and have surround sound for your party! I believe tmobile is having a buy one get one free on the mini booms for $100!

There's no substitute for size. Go to a concert in a major venue like Madison Square Garden. Are they using little soup can sized speakers?

These small speakers may sound pretty good close up when you try to fill a big room with them full of noisy partiers they will be an "epic fail." (LOL)

The more you turn these things up, the more they will distort. Your best bet is to hire a DJ. Buying something that you will use once in a great while is a waste. FYI, here is what you will need at a bare minimum:

  • Would my iphone or speakers blow? During tech in school i made speakers which are very very loud. That to keep the volume stop from blasting my ears i have to leave it on half-full on the iphone. I connect the external speakers i made to my iphone and i was wondering because its so loud. If i play very loud music through it would my iphone blow out. I have a feeling that my speakers will as they are tiny but would my iphone get damaged because of it.

  • Some water came onto iphone, now speakers don't work? If i play music or want to get text tone i can't hear anything unless i use the headphones then it works. But by it self it does not work although i can record a voice memo and then hear it back. BUT why can I not hear music or hear the text tone?
