IPhone text messages not being received?

For whatever reason, 2 weeks ago my iPhone stopped receiving service. When I saw my friends they had told me they sent me multiple text messages and called many times. Long story short, I finally got my new phone and set it all up and I have service now. For whatever reason though, I'm not receiving any of the texts and I don't have any missed call notifications. Any reason for this? Will I never receive the messages sent to me these past 2 weeks while my phone wasn't working?

If the texts were actually undeliverable, they are held for something like a week before being discarded. If the network actually sent them, but the phone failed to notify/display, then they are lost. Of course if you have a new number then your only option is to ask everyone to resend.

  • Text messages not received after being abroad (iPhone)? I was in Australia for three months and brought my Verizon iPhone 4 with me, although it did not work at all for calls/texts I used it as an ipod and camera. I was excited when I landed in the US to turn off airplane mode and receive a barrage of texts/voicemails but absolutely none came through. I know some where sent because people facebooked me asking why I wasn't replying. Any way I can find these text messages or are they lost for ever?
  • Text messages not being delivered on Iphone 4? They were working just fine and tonight it's just not working. It always gets stuck towards the end and I get the 'not delivered message' I tried resetting my network settings, but it didn't help. How can I fix this?
  • Jpg attachments are being received as empty? Jpg attachments are being received as empty. This did not begin happening until December 22, 2012. Since then all jpeg attachments say they are empty. This happens on my desktop, laptop, ipad and iphone. I have checked the setting to make sure I can receive remote images on all my devices. Any other suggestions? All the images are coming from the same person. If the problem is on their end, any guesses what that might be? They being sent from a Blackberry if that helps.
