IPhone Unlocking Through AT&T?
I bought an iPhone 4 from a friend after they upgraded to iPhone 5, and I want to unlock it. It doesn't have service on it at the moment, but I want to use T-Mobile. The phone has a good IMEI.
I sent the unlock request through att's unlocking service and I used my name, SSN, etc. But the old account number my friend had because that was the phone number…
Are they going to black list my iPhone because my info doesn't match the account phone # now? I'm worried… And if so, should I unlock it with a 3rd party before they could blacklist it?

Added (1). Are they going to contact my friend about this? I don't care if they do, because it's never been reported stole, I just want to know if i'm at risk of my phone becoming black listed

As long as you are in contact with your friend who sold you the phone and the phone has not been reported stolen - they will not blacklist you.
- Unlocking sim for iPhone 3gs? Ok, so I've been having a lot of trouble with trying to unlock my iPhone. I jail-broke my phone a month ago and I have cydia and all that stuff, and I don't think that's what you use to unlock the simcard. Maybe it has something to do with the firmware? It's 05.16.05. If I have to update the firmware, or download something on my phone please tell me. I just want to use the phone.

- Unlocking Iphone 4s outside USA? One of my uncles bought me an i phone 4s from USA. But it's a locked version so I can't use it here in Sri Lanka. Can I know is there any way of unlocking the Iphone safely? And what happens to the contract with at&at if I unlock it here? Do we have to pay anything to at&at or something? I can't buy an unlocked Iphone because it's too expensive for me.
