IPhone vs Top Tier/High End Android jellybean smartphones?

Android: open source you could root it and change it to a different os known as rom the most used rom is cyangenmod. Widgets.view downloaded apps as widgets on your home screen at a quick glance without opening the app. Customization, personalization, more free apps, bundle of googles services (maps youtube) preinstalled.
iOS: closed source. You can't change the os you get what apple gives you. You can jailbreak as well.simple user friendly easy to use interface. You are tied into apples services such as iTunes App Store iCloud. More apps than google play except there are more paid than free.
Which one you should u invest? Android. I've known a lotta of former iPhone users who switched to android as they finally see the benefits of it over iOS. Plus it doesn't get or feel outdated compared to iOS which hasn't changed much since launch in 2007 and since ios5 brought in a number of changes there really isn't much to what apple brings. Apple is being late. What apple puts in their next iPhone android already has. By far android goes far ahead into the future making the user feel to near perfection.
- What program could I use to make a game like surviving high school (android/iPhone app)? For those who don't know, surviving high school is a 2D text-based choose your path game. It has multiple endings, branching storyline, and a few rpg elements. I want to make a game similar to Surviving High School but not to a degree of completely stealing their concept. Can you help me find the tools and point me in the right direction? I have no coding skills but i'm willing to learn if the program comes with any readable materials.
