IPhone won't charge at all unless powered off?
I've had my phone for almost a year now and just started having charging issues. For some reason my phone will not allow itself to charge unless it's completely powered off. This problem has been going on for 3-4 days now, and it didn't happen until maybe a day or two after I upgraded to iOS 8. I tried seeing if it was maybe the cord being silly but when I hooked it up to my laptop, windows wouldn't recognize the phone itself. I don't know what's wrong with it! I told my mom and she thought it was weird, too. But she refuses to take it to an Apple Store, or repair store in general. So any possible answers or advice would be nice.
That is odd because I never turn my iphone off ever. Maybe its an issue with the new OS as typically the first month of a new release they have several patches, this is why I never update a new OS for a month or so.
May i ask which phone you are talking about, it must be a iphone seen that you had to take it to the apple store
- My iPhone won't charge unless it's turned off? My phone won't charge unless it's turned off. I just bought this charger two days ago. Is there anyway I can fix this problem? It's not the chargers fault.
- My iphone won't charge after I dropped it unless it's turned off? Today I dropped my iPhone on concrete and the screen didn't crack but it won't charge unless it's turned off. Why won't it charge while turned on? And the battery seems to be draining extremely quick now. Anything I can do or is it permantetly damaged?
- My Iphone 5c won't charge unless the charger is in a weird position? It's not a problem with the charger, because it's like that on multiple chargers, even ones that are brand new. I have to tug on the wire in different direction or press down next to the charging port for it to charge, and even then it's unpredictable
- My iphone 5 won't charge unless its in a battery case? I have 4 brand new iphone wires and none of them have ever given me an issue. But since I started to use a charger case… Thats the only way my phone will actually charge. If I use just a regular iphone wire, my phone will charge and discharge. Any solutions?
