IPhone won't charge past 3%?

Yesterday evening my iphone suddenly started constantly restarting every couple of minutes, it didn't just turn off though, it kinda just lost power and the screen faded to black then it would come back on.

It eventually randomly stopped doing this but now will not charge past 3%, it has been on charge all night and is still stuck on 3%, any idea on how I can fix this?

Trun the phone of and charge via the USB on your computer, maybe you should restore it after a backup.

Try to reset your phone.
If this doesn't work do a factory restore. (back up your apps and files before).

I had this, The screen kind of dissolved from normal to black then would have to turn back on then i found my battery would not charge. It turned out i needed a new battery and it fixed the problem. I sent my phone to Apple Tree Repairs. It only cost me £30 and i got my phone back.

try backing up your iphone if it does not charge past 3% incase it was not backing upits self
