IPhone won't connect to itunes and I NEED to backup my phone, what can i do?
I need to update my phone's software so the little notification thing can go away… But i'm afraid to because I need to backup my phone. My iPhone stopped connecting to iTunes a couple months ago… Today I finally got around to uninstalling then reinstalling itunes, but it didn't work. Now whenever i plug my phone to my computer the only thing that pops up is the "Apple iPhone" folder in "This PC"(i have windows.) In that folder there's only one icon that says "internal drive".
Before it stopped working, it would automatically connect my iPhone to iTunes, but now it's just a folder popping up. Please tell me what else I can do… I don't really want to go to apple… But i need to back my phone up.
Added (1). even if i didn't need to update my software i still would like to backup my phone but i can't. I need help.
Added (2). I forgot to add, a couple months ago after my iphone stopped connecting to itunes, the "apple iphone" folder popped up. My question makes it seem like it only started popping up AFTER i reinstalled iTunes. Sorry.
Your computer has to install a certain driver in order to detect the USB used to connect your iPhone to your computer. I'm not sure how to get it to install the driver, usually, when I have that problem, I unplug, then plug the USB back in, and it'll install by itself.
- Is there a way(without computer)to move my texts from my iPad to my IPhone? ICloud backup? Had to restore phone to last backup and lost texts? Hi, yesterday I had to reset my phone (IPhone 8 plus) to factory default and restore it to its last backup (April 15th). I also have an iPad mini, which everything is Synced. I got everything back on my phone (up to date) except my text messages. I'm not able to access my computer right now and have read you can get them back my backing up you messages to ICloud. Is there anything I can do to get them back on my phone (they are still on my iPad mini), without using my Mac?
- Iphone 5s can't be fixed and need backup can whatsapp I had Iphone 5s and I broke it too many times that it can't be fixed anymore and i can't open it, i bought Iphone 7 I didn't have any backups on 5s though, Can I atleast get my numbers or pictures? Anything? Can whatsapp account get them back? Please tell me if there's any possible thing i can do. There are my bosses numbers and teachers i can't get them again if I lose them!
- Does iCloud Backup Take up more space then iTunes backup? When I backup my iphone on iCloud it takes up 4.7GB of iCloud Storage. When I backup my iphone on my mac with iTunes it only takes up 2.3Gb Apple webstie says itunes backup will backup your phone exactly as it is and that iCloud only backs up important information. So why does backing my iphone take 4.7GB of iCloud space but backing up my iphone with itunes takes up only 2.3gb of space on my mac?
- How to save a backup so I can restore my iphone and then get back the backup later? I want to try to install iOS 7 but i'm not sure that it will all save if I want to go back to iOS 6.1.3. If I restore my iphone can I install an old backup back to my iphone?
