IPhone won't receive messages?

I just got a new iPhone 5s, my old one broke 4 days ago and I could not access it for those 4 days. Today I received my new phone and used a back up from May 20th. None of my texts from those 4 days of inactive use have come through.(and I know there has been texts sent to my phone for those 4 days) is there any way to receive those texts?

I would recommend backing everything up on your iTunes account and put it in dfu mode. You can put it in dfu mode by following these steps: 1.Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your Mac…
2.Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time…
3. After exactly 10 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. After resetting it just log back in your itunes account and reinstall all your apps.(your apps should keep any progress made as long as you made sure you were connected with your itunes and made sure it was backed up to your account)

  • When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.

I have checked the service centre number which is correct, I have updated the ios software thing (I'm not too clever with Apple products but yes it's been updated).It says iMessage is waiting for activation but it has said this for ages now. I have tried absolutely everything with still nothing. I can make calls, use the internet, I can do everything else! I just can't send or receive text messages… Will someone please help me?

I can send and receive messages with Imessage on my computer but my Iphone doesn't receive any and the messages send as text messages instead when I text someone with an iPhone. I've reset it already and tried restoring it and it did't help.
