The XS Max is the better spec'ed but more expensive of the 2.
The XR is the cheaper of the 2.
So down to specs vs cost (& in this case patience)

I really don't know the difference honestly.
It's the same chip and specs inside. The camera is different and less quality on the R. It's also aluminum body not stainless steel like the Xs. The screen is LCD, not OLED like the Xs has. So, it depends on what you plan on using the phone for then decide which is better for you.
Way too much money for me. I'm not even thinking about upgrading my IPhone 6.
Why not wait until both phones you are interested in are available to compare, and decide then when you can do hands on comparison?

I originally bought an IPhone XS Max for Christmas until the screen stopped working on the day the first day it was opened and had to send it back to Tesco mobile. My brother was bugging me to get the IPhone XR as he thinks it's better and less glitchy. What do you think? Does anyone of you lot out there own any of these phones and can you tell me if you have had any problems using the IPhone XS Max if you own one please?
