IPhone5s security/theif possibilities?

I'm considering getting the iPhone 5s, and just curious as to what are some possibilities of what would happen if someone took my phone and tried to get into it. I thought of two things when I read and watched the Keynote for the phone.

1. If someone did end up taking my phone, would it be easy for them to get into my phone using the finger print scanner? Like I've seen in movies and stuff that thieves use plastic or some kind of material to like 'copy and paste' the authorized person's finger print to break into something or whatever. Can thieves do that with the iPhone 5s?

2. With the "find my iPhone" app or whatever, can people track you down with that? Or is it just for when you lose your iPhone?

Are these scenarios a possibility? I've never had an iPhone before and I'm not really a tech savvy person, so I'm not sure how accurate the thoughts I had on the security for the iPhone would be. Tell me if I'm right or wrong and also what are some other ways I could protect my iPhone once I get it.

In response to the first question, no that's all fake movie stuff. I've had a thousand different fingerprint recognition gadgets over the years and it's hard enough to use my own fingerprint from my own finger, let alone making and using fake ones! Though it is possible to make a model of someone's fingerprint the overall skill level and equipment required would mean that unless you have top secret informaiton on your phone, you're safe and sound on that front. You can also add a lockscreen code to it too, pretty sure you still can anyways. This can be an image code, or a number code depending on a few things that I'm really too lazy to get into right now. Anyways you should be fine with the fingerprint thingy.
The Find My Iphone thingy is pretty cool actually. If you get an Iphone and want to download apps you have to create an Itunes account. This also sets you up for the website www.icloud.com - so you go to that site, use your Itunes login and tinker with the Find My Iphone. It will tell you where on Earth it is, allow for you to make it start beeping, lock the screen and even put a message on it saying "Call Bob at 555-555-5555" or something (obviously if you're not named Bob you'll want to use a different name).
All of that being said and done, why the heck would someone be so eager to get into your phone? What secrets will your phone hold?
If you lose your phone and someone finds it but doesn't want to give it back then they can just do a factory restore on it, dump your SIM card and move on. These are the cheap phones you see on Craigslist all of the time.
