Ipod touch 5th gen or iPhone 4

I can't decide if i should get the new ipod touch 5th generation or the iphone 4. I can get a used iphone 4 with clean esn for about $250 in very good condition. Or i can get the new ipod touch 5th gen for $300. I currently have the ipod touch 2nd gen and a droid x2.

They are both different devices that do different things and have different associated costs. Your question doesn't say what you want out of a device or what you're willing to pay, only what an offer you've seen is. For example, say you wanted an iPod Touch to listen to music and watch video - many basic phones do that well enough for a fraction of the cost of an ipod and w/o the cost of a data plan for a smartphone like the iPhone. It depends a lot on what you want.

Since you already have a smartphone, and aren;t about to ditch it for a basic phone it's not clear why you would want an iPod at all, since smartphones can run apps, play music and video and search the internet using either Wi-Fi or 3G. It just sounds like an expensive waste. If you've got a lot of iPod apps and/or music and don't want to lose them, I'd just get an iPhone. However, I wouldn't buy one used - I'd wait for my upgrade and get it then. That used iPhone 4 that you're about to spend $250 on is free, new. With an upgrade. Nothing in your question suggests that you can;t wait.
