Is 14 too young for an iPhone?

Details: I got my first phone when I was 12, almost 13, because I started playing school sports and my parents needed to stay in touch with me. It was a slider phone btw. The phone I have now is in exellent condition, and I have taken good care of it. I make good grades in school, mostly A's, and an occasional B, I help around the house, and I would be saving up and paying for the iPhone that I would be getting. My contract expires in September of this year, and I'll still be 14, but close to 15. So is 14 too young for an iPhone?

No as long as your parents can afford it.

Coming from the parent of a 14 year old(who has an iPhone) I will tell you it depends on the child and parents wishes, as having an iPhone(or any Smart Phone) is not a requirement of teenager-hood and you will survive without one. If your parents have specific objections you need to know what they are and let them know why they are incorrect. So this would be a great time to start acting responsible and talk this over with them up. If it is something you can't change their mind on, or if you even agree that they are correct and looking out for your interest then wait until you are a bit older.perhaps the iPhone 7 or 8.

Just like other devices, they should have all of your passwords as well as account information. This is not to just "check-up" on you, but also to make sure you are not getting into any trouble(even unknowingly). If you are responsible enough and willing to pay for the phone, you will find that can go a long way to allowing you to have one. But remember it is not just the cost of the phone, it is likely that you will have an increased cost of service every month.

It seems like you are responsible enough to have one. Be careful though, don't let an Iphone consume your life.

No. 14 isn't too young for an iPhone. My sister got one for her 14th birthday. Just don't let the iphone be your life. There are other things than an iPhone out there.

No I. Know 12 year olds who have an iPhone

I'm 13 with an iPhone 5S. Phones are phones. The price of the phone you get should be based on how well you would look after it, and because my mum knows that I know she will kill me if i break it, I'm really careful. So no I don't think your age is too young for a iPhone.

If you're paying for it yourself, get it.

I'm 14 almost 15 but I got my iPhone in December 2012 when I was 13 (an iphone 4) and I have still got it. If you can afford it then I don't see the problem I know someone who was 10 when she got an iPhone 5 because her parents could afford it

  • Young rapper looking for a free app on iPhone to make beats on? I don't have my stuff that I would use to record music. So I'm looking for a free app to make beats on. It doesn't need to be anything complex. It could just be a drum machine or something. I'm just looking for something to rap over. I just don't like rapping over silence and other musicians instrumentals. It HAS to be free too.
