Is 16gb iPhone 4s enough for ME?

I'm contemplating upgrading to the iPhone 4s from my LG NV3. Unfortunately 16gb is the only one available now, and I can't afford $400+ full price for a 32gb on eBay. Anyway

I have ~1200 pictures on my NV3,
I have 6gb of songs in itunes.
I won't be a big app user, maybe 3-4 pages tops?

I won't be adding a ton more songs, but I'm big on taking pictures. I suppose I could send pictures to my laptop, because who really needs 2000 pictures on a cell phone? The only reason I have 1200 on my LG is because it's impossible to easily get them onto my laptop.

So what do you guys think?
Also, is the extra $30 a month worth it? I don't text much. But I'll enjoy the nice camera, interface, and apps.

Added (1). Also, I wouldn't have any movies or shows on it.

Save yourself some heartache and get the Samsung Galaxy S4 in a month when it is released.

According to your requirements 16 GB would be enough.

Just got the iPhone 4s 16gb and not sure if it was the right choice, I'm mainly gonna be using it for pictures like instagram Facebook email a couple games maybe 10 and put about 50 songs or less. I don't know if I made the right choice don't wanna be worrying about my memory
  • Will a 16GB iPhone 5 have 16GB of space? I want to get an iPhone 5 and the 16GB will suffice, however I'm concerned about the actual space. I have a 32GB iPod Touch but according to iTunes the maximum space available is 28.5GB. Could I expect this sort of thing to happen on the iPhone?

I'm paying for this iphone myself, for christmas. My parents are very against me getting one, so that's the way it's gonna be. I currently have a piece of crap lg keyboard phone, so I need an upgrade anyway. Used iphone 4s 16g s are 50 bucks on sprint. Used 32g are 150. I could sell my ipod, but I want to spend as little as possible. WIll 16gigs be enough for me?
  • My new 16gb iPhone 5s' storage doesn't equal 16gb? I bought a 16GB iPhone 5s and when i go to Settings > General > Usage, it says i used 2.3 GB and i have 10.6 GB available. And that would equal 12.9 GB. Shouldn't it equal 16GB?
