Is 250mb enough for an iPhone?

Have bought an iPhone yesterday and have been offered o2's Internet data plan. 250mb of data within the first three months and doubles in the next three to 500mb. Is this enough for an iPhone 4? Would mostly be connected to home Wi-Fi, and when out and about probably just using whatsapp anyway. Would 250mb be enough for these first months?

No, 250MB is not very much data. Unless you're on your Wi-Fi for 20 hours out of the day I'd say you'll go over.
On the 10th day of my billing cycle I had downloaded 236MB of data already.

No, it's not. 250mb isn't a lot at all. Unless you use Wi-Fi instead of 3G, your data plan MAY go over.

Why 10/09/2013
The IP4 is 3.25 years old already, 250Mb even 500Mb is a meagre amount

The IP4 is 24 days away from being discontinued on release of the IP5S. Apple only support LAST 3 iPhones, discontinued means no longer sold by Apple, any future upgrades are for supported phones some new apps just WON'T WORK

IOS 7 just a theme

On 12/09/2012 IP5 announced IP 3GS DROPPED, like the year before IP4S IN, IP3G OUT. No maths 10/09/ 2013 IP5S IN…

I want an iPhone, it may be the cheapest when compared to other iPhones but to invest any money in an OVERPRICED device is a waste as in 2 years you will be using a 5 year old device that came out in 2010.

It was the first iPhone to have a camera flash yeah 2010!

Many have already upgraded from the IP4 in 2012

There are newer phones better phones and they cost a lot less, giving you more than the 8Gb on the IP4, you should look at eg Sam Gal ACE II or the Lumia 620 for phone with a secondary camera microSD expansion Wi-Fi, GPS, DUAL CORE… AND BLUETOOTH MEDIA TRANSFER (Sharing) which no iPhone even the IP5 has. Here are the specs only if these phones are Gold Plated will it come in above the IP4 http://www.gsmarena.com/...hone2=5147

As I always say to these questions (& usually the way they are worded) its not a matter of if the data allowance is enough for the phone, but its if it is enough for you. You know your usage patterns & if not then this would be the time to experiment & add or remove as need be.

  • Will 250mb on the iPhone 4s last me? I'm getting a iPhone on contract. It gives me unlimited texts/minutes but only 250mb of data usage. I will only use my internet to send inboxes on Facebook (not update my status) and tweet one or two tweets a day. I never browse the internet, i will only use the usage for social networking. Will this data plan of 250mb be enough? Ps: I have Wi-Fi at home so i will only be using the usage at school
  • What does 250MB at 4G Speeds mean using Simple Mobile? I plan on activating my iPhone with Simple Mobile. Their data plan say Unlimited. I would like to know what does 250MB at 4G Speed mean? I don't get it. Please explain.
  • Is 500mb data on iPhone 4s contract enough? I'm only going to be on the Twitter, Facebook and Instagram apps really. Should I get 1gb instead?
  • Is 250MB of data on an iphone 4s alot or too little? I'm getting and Iphone 4s soon, and I wanna know if 250MB of data is a good amount or too little for this phone, i usually only get a few games, facebook and twitter, so is it okay or not?
