Is 325mb enough to run maps?
I'm going to Canada for a weekend and I will be using my iPhone 5. I have Sprint and they are charging $125 for 325mb of data (which i think is expensive personally) anyways is 325mb enough to run the maps? I plan on using my maps to get around but I typically use 30gb+ of LTE data watching videos ad just regular stuff and I'm just terrified of going over as they charge $4/mb over the amount assigned and that's why I currently have the simply everything plan.
It is extremely expensive. If you can unlock your phone, just get a prepaid Canadian SIM card once you arrive. If you must use roaming data, use it very sparingly. Put your phone in airplane mode when you're not using it and only look up maps on the phone occasionally. If you're driving/walking somewhere, don't use navigation, just look up the directions and then switch to airplane mode. The directions will stay on the screen.
- On my iPhone, my mail, calendar, safari, and maps won't open Hey… So I tried jailbreaking my phone and it didn't work. Anyways, after I stoped trying to jailbreak it, I realized that some of the apps that you can't delete (Mail, Calendar, Safari, and Maps) won't open! They just keep crashing! I really would like these apps to work again so I can use them while I'm on the go. I already tired the dumb little things like turning my phone off and then back on… But it doesn't seem to work!
- Old GPS or iPhone maps or google maps app? I'm going to drive from IL down to SC and I don't trust my old garmin nuvï 255 nor iphone maps lol:-) GPS update is $50 which I'm not going to spend. So has anyone used iphone maps or google maps app on long distance trips? Or I just better use old gps?
- Is 128 GB Mac enough storage for me or will I likely run out? I'm looking at a Mac Pro and i see for 1,200 at Best Buy you can get the 128 GB pro. Essentially, this will be my school laptop for the rest of high school and possibly the beginning of college. All pictures/videos will be on my iPad or iPhone so that won't take any storage. Same case with games, they won't be on it. Essentially, all ill have it for is writing papers, surfing the web, etc. Is 128 GB enough for me or should I spend the extra 200 for 256GB?
- IPhone updated! Apple maps streetview? I was amongst the idiots who updated there iPhone and am now stuck with the mediocre apple maps! One of my fav parts of the maps previous was the streetview to see landmarks and such! Is there a way of getting this on the new maps?
