Is $6 dollars per hour a good babysitting wage?
I'm 13 and I'm trying to save up for an iPhone, so I'm going to start babysitting. I just got Red Cross certified last week and I want to start soon. Do you think $6 per hour is a good babysitting wage, or should I change it? Also, should my wage vary when it comes to younger children, or if I have to babysit more than one child? Thank you!
P.S. I live in a relatively big city. Just saying that because it might vary depending where you live.
Yes, if you are 13 years old it is generous. It also depends how long you babysit for. If you are doing it like one hour after school every day it sound fair. If you do 3 hours in a row you might consider asking for a raise!
$6 is fine for your age but you could try to get it to $8 a hour, and if this is your first time you should babysit just one kid
