Is a new iPhone worth waiting for?

I've been working through the summer to pay bills and tuition, but with all the financial growth i thought maybe i could use some for upgrades in my life. Ever since i got my first phone at 14, its been hand-me-downs since. Now i'm actually able to afford a brand new phone but with the rising costs, is it worth it? Or should i stick with my iPhone 7 til their obsolete?

The iphone 7 is obsolete, it's almost three years old.

Update: People drive around in 60 year old cars, they are still obsolete.

IPhones in general aren't worth buying.

If the only reason you want a new phone is to spend your hard earned money, then open a ROTH IRA.

At this stage the next iphone will be released in about a month, generally Apple reveal them in september.

Wait and see what the new ones like, if you are still happy with the current ones they should also be cheaper.

iPhone 7 will probably be end of life soon and not supported much longer anyway.

No. Here's one of the ways of becoming rich. Don't buy a new cell phone if your current one still works fine. If it can call and text, which is what cell phones are supposed to be for, then there's nothing to fix. Many people make up excuses like "What if my child wants to play on my cell phone and the app isn't compatible with my old phone?" Well, then, tell them to go outside. Almost every parent in the US in the 1970's made their children go outside whether they wanted to or not. Now in the 2010's, most parents don't. "People: Eww, is that cell phone from 1999? Haha! You have the cell phone of a CHILD! Me: Oh yeah? Well, i'm glad for you that you got that brand new cell phone of yours because you have the INCOME of a child."
