Is an iPhone 5s good for my first smartphone?

This is my first time getting a smartphone and don't really know what exactly I'm looking for. Obviously I want something easy to use and navigate. Does the iPhone 5s provide that? What are the main pros and cons of it? Please let me know what you think! All answers and opinions are and will be appreciated.

I'd go for anything android, you can get all the apps. As for navigation, they're all much of a muchness.

I have had my iPhone for two years now and I love it. They are simple to use but.
The battery life's not the best if you are a person that uses the phone a lot.
You can't just copy and paste files onto your phone, that as to be done through a programme called iTunes. It doesn't take too long to do though.
There isn't really anything bad I can say about the iPhone apart from the battery life because I love mine. Its just like having a mini tablet because you can do so much on it.

I got 5S and I'm really glad I did.

IPhones are great. Awesome first smart phones because all apple products are very user friendly. As another person said, they have a very poor battery life, but you can do things to help that such as buying battery cases that extend the life. I don't really like the iPhone vs Android, because I have had both and I love both, but i would say iPhones are definitely easier to use.

Starting off IPhone is good because they are very simple and easy to use. Later on if you want something you can do more with, better battery life, better screen, etc switch to Android. It is a little more confusing than the iPhone though so yes the 5s would be a great starter phone. The only thing is battery life with the iPhone.

Yes. One of, if not the, best smartphones available today.

  • What is a good smartphone that isn't an IPhone? Something that has the same functions as an IPhone. I've been through two IPhones within a year because the buttons keep getting stuck. I heard Samsung Galaxy has the same problem. Please add the provider if you know.
  • What is a good smartphone besides the iPhone? I've had iPhones for the past few years but my plan with Sprint is ridiculously overpriced so I was looking into going to boost mobile. However to get an iphone with them it's full price and I can't transfer my current one with their network.
  • Just got my first smartphone (iPhone 3GS), what apps should I get? I got the 3GS as it's a cheap first smartphone but I don't know all the common uses smartphones are put to. What uses/apps do you recommend? Can you recommend a good racing game that will run on the 3GS?
  • Is the iPhone 5 a good 'first smartphone'? So I'm looking to get my first smartphone. I'm not really a noob to smartphones but I've never actually owned one. I have an iPod touch 4gen and I use up all my 8 GB's. I like apps, I plan to have music on my phone, and I want everything in it. I take lots of pictures too. Would an iPhone 5 be a good investment? Or should I go with the 4S?
