Is an Iphone worth paying 30 dollars a month for the data plan?
So i'm a sophomore in college and i don't even have a smart phone. It feels like almost everyone has a iphone and feel like i'm missing out. I have an upgrade available through AT&T but my parents don't want to pay for a data plan. They said for my birthday in two weeks they are willing to get me an iphone and a year of data, and then i could just get my data plan renewed each year as my birthday gift. Do you think it is worth it? I'm thinking yes…
IPhones aren't as great as they're made out to be. You're much better off with an Android, like the Samsung Galaxy S III, they're better than an iPhone in pretty much everything.

I have an iPhone 4 a friend gave me for Christmas and I was looking to use it without data and just be able to go on the Internet when I have Wi-Fi, is there a way maybe if I factory unlock it that AT&T will not charge me for a data plan when I put my sim card in?
