Is Boost Mobile still a practical option for cell service?
I've had Boost Mobile for several years now. I signed up because I never really got into the smartphone thing and I just needed a phone for texting and calling. Boost offered unlimited service for $50/month which was a pretty good deal back then when you used to have to sign up for a 2-year plan and still pay $80/mo.
These days it seems the big providers are all moving towards that same trend, offering unlimited text/talk as well as some data packages for about the same price. Boost Mobile has compensated for this by lowering their own prices--I now pay only $35/mo. For the same service. However, I'm starting to feel as if I could be more productive with a smartphone, using their nifty apps to do nifty things. I would still probably not even need a data plan, but it would be nice to browse the internet in a Wi-Fi hotspot.
So my question is, can I get similar service for a similar price? I don't see myself paying more than $50/mo. And unlimited talk/text is mandatory. Which providers can offer this deal, and which ones have the best phones? I'll go ahead and say right now that I won't get an iPhone, because no one should pay $400 for a phone.
I know ATT has GoPhone prepaid plan that is $45 a month for unlimeted talk/ text but no data, and then you just buy whatever phone you want. Thats what i use
You can buy a smartphone from Boost Mobile & your bill will only go up $5. I have the same unlimited plan and am paying $35 a month but if I upgrade my phone, I will be charged $40. So you can buy a smartphone and still not have to pay a lot by staying with Boost. Especially since you already worked on getting your bill so low. $40 a month is pretty darn good and the best deal you will get with a smartphone on an unlimited plan.
- Virgin Mobile or Boost Mobile? I'm moving to Houston this summer and I'm looking for a cheaper cell phone plan. I talk, text, email, fb etc. I had virgin mobile back in 2004 and I love it and had no problem. I have a android galaxy s3 right now which I love but the battery isn't so great. I'm thinking about possibly buying an iPhone. What I'm really looking for is reviews on virgin and boost mobile. If you have any other cheap cell phone plan carrier suggestions I'm up for that too.
- MENSA member, CS degree from Notre Dame - how practical to make a successful iPhone App? So I'm learning Swift hoping to make iPhone apps and I mention my creds to show that the intellectual barriers of programming is not a problem my question is, how successful can you be on the app store? For instance, say I had a moderately good idea for an app and created it - could I expect to make, say 1,000 or 2,000 dollars per month from it? How many people make at least 1000 per month with their app(s)?
- Is it practical to buy Iphone 5 or just wait for the release of the latest Iphone? I have been using Samsung Galaxy 3 and have decided to try apple products as they say it's much durable than what I have now. I just don't know if I should try Iphone 5 now or just simply wait for the release of the next Apple phone product maybe before the year ends or early next year.
- Iphone 4s or iPhone 5? Virgin Mobile or Boost Mobile? Is the iphone 5 worth the money? What is the difference? Which one is better? Also is Virgin mobile a good network to have the iphone on? I'm currently on tmobile.
