Is eating less than 1000 calories a day bad?

I'm a 15 year old girl, 5'6, 130 lbs and almost a month ago I decided to start eating healthier. I cut out all wheat products and dairy(I'm lactose intolerant). I feel really good and have lost 8 pounds so far. On a daily basis I eat fruits, veggies, nuts, rice products, and meat. I count my calories on this iPhone app because I tend to over eat when I'm bored so I decided to keep track and make sure I don't go over 1, 300. But on most days I find that I don't go anywhere near that number. I do eat a lot. 3 meals, and lots of snacks but they're all low in calories because of my new eating habits. On the days where I don't eat lots of rice products and nuts, I don't go over 1000 calories, even without exercising. I exercise 6-7 days a week. I burn 250-300 calories at the gym every time I go. Physically, I feel great and healthy but I want more opinions to see if this is healthy for me or not. Should I be eating more? What do you guys suggest?

Sounds fine Aslong as you are getting protein and all the vitamins you need from fresh fruit and stuff

That isn't enough calories for the day. If you eat too little calories in a day your body with think its in starvation mode and start storing all of the calories, fat, and sugar. That will make you GAIN and not LOSE. You should eat AT LEAST 1, 200 calories a day. Trust me I would know

Its quite all right and I may suggest just increase calories and exercise as well. For motivation, you should make some company as well.

Its great that you're starting to eat healthier and that you exercise. I'd say the minimum is 1200 calories to be healthy but really, you're a growing girl. You should be getting at least 1800. If weight loss is your goal, though, then yeah you should be burning more than you're consuming. You burn 2000 a day just by existing. And that extra 250-300 that you are burning helps out since you are only taking in at most 1300 calories. That's a difference of 1000 calories that you are burning as opposed to taking in. In answer to your question, no it isn't necessarily bad. I recommend you take in at least 1500. At Least. You're already a healthy weight, too, so there's nothing to lose. Just don't go below 1200.
