Nah. I have a 3GS, and nobody cares. As long as you have a phone I guess. I just use mine for music, though.

After updating my iphone to the latest version (5.0.1I think it was) my phone just randomly started shutting off and coming to a blank white screen and then an error screen and after a few times it went back to normal then shut off again.
