Is iPhone 5 worth it or iPhone 4s?
I'm planning to get my first iPhone for my birthday, the iPhone 5 is released is it worth it or shall I get the iPhone 4s?
Depends on your budget but if you get the 4s you can download the 5 software in a few months so you save money, hope i helped.
I'm also getting my first iPhone. I have put off buying an iPhone 4s because I knew the iPhone 5 would not disappoint. And from what I've seen, I'm definitely going to go New iPhone and not backward. The new phone has a different connector and new earPods. Apple products evolve and I think this is a big step in the iPhone line.
I think if this is your first iPhone you should definitely go with the iPhone 5. Some people aren't happy with the changes, but I personally think they're great. And another thing you may want to think about is that the charger is different and obviously the new iphone is bigger that the 4s and previous models. I'm sure this won't be your last iPhone so if you upgrade to a new one in the future you'll have to buy all new stuff if you get the iPhone 4s now, where with the iPhone 5 i'm sure for a while all accessories for it will work for upcoming releases. Youd be just as well with the 4s, as aside from the iphone 5 being slightly taller and thinner, and having a smaller connection dock, there really aren't any great changes. Plus, you'll be able to get the capabilities of the iphone 5 in the next software update. It has been said if you have the iphone 4s, there's no great need to get the iphone 5. However, since it'll be your first iphone, you may as well simply get the iphone 5, and have the latest version. I'm not too sure i want to upgrade just yet, as i have the 4s, and i don't see the point in getting rid of a perfectly good phone, just to get the latest version. The software update will do just as well for a while, until i get bored of it, and decide to get the latest version.
The iPhone 4S will be updated to the new software before the iPhone 5 goes on sale. The only major difference is the iPhone 5 has a larger screen, new connector and is faster. Really though, the iPhone 4S is not going to be much cheaper and will be out of date a lot sooner. As all accessories will now be designed for the new dock connector, and apps primarily designed for the new screen size, it makes sense to start from the current standard.

I have the 4s and will not upgrade as there's not enough differance to justify the cost. However as the price is not a great deal more for you to buy the 5 you might as well get one.

- Is it worth upgrading from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 5? I have a 3GS and it works perfeclty fine. Its 3 years old, but only has minor scuffs and scratches over it. The battery only just lasts the day, but it lasts. On iOS 6, its not super fast but it does the job. I would love a new iPhone 5, but what would I really be getting that my 3GS doesn't give me?
