Is iPhone contract worth it?

What's the price difference overall of a phone in contract vs the price of an unlocked phone with no contract? What's the pro and con of both ways?

My phone case 40 quid a week&when you up it your phone up it will be a fiver a week so it better on contract

A phone contract allows you an expensive new phone if you can't get all the money to just buy the phone.

The big advantage to buying an unlocked phone is you can use any carrier that uses SIM card in USA T- Mobile or AT&T/Cricket then you get a monthly plan for phone service and you don't have a two year contract.

When phones had an artificial price you would have paid the same but now most companies give you a payment plan and you will likely pay the same or more as an unlocked phone and likely to pay the least even if you pay full price upfront for a locked phone.
Sprint and Verizon are not on SIM and you can't use and Unlocked Phone for them.
If you buy a contract phone you will pay more for the phone but you can spread the price over two years added to your cellphone bill.

  • Should I get iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S? No contract or with contract? I don't know what exactly is so much better with the 5 compared to 4S? I'm thinking to get it with no contract because I'll be in Europe over the summer so I'll need another contract over there for a few months so that likely wouldnt work if I got a 2 year contract here in the US is the 5 much more expensive than the 4s? and does the price vary a lot if I buy with/without contract?
  • Is the IPhone worth a 2 year contract? Iv been looking for a new phone, and I really want the iPhone but my family would prefure a non contract phone, and the non contract phones I want are too expensive, but I really want the iPhone. So, is the iPhone worth the 2 year contract? What are the pros and cons? I'd really appreciate y'all's thoughts.
  • Is the iPhone 5s better with a contract or no contract? Which is cheaper? I was thinking about getting an iPhone 5s and I was just wondering if no contract or contract was cheaper. I saw that T- mobile offered a no contract deal, yes I know you have to pay it all up front. I just want to know which would be cheaper in the long run.
  • Is the iPhone 5 worth getting on a 2 year contract? Currently do not have a phone, will be getting a plan sometime this week. Was just wondering if the iPhone 5 is worth getting on a 2 year contract? I mean, the 5s or 6 or whatever Apple decides to call their new phone will be coming out this summer or fall… And by then the 5 will be old. If I get the 5 now, I'll be upgrading to the new iPhone on 2015. Apple, Y U KEEP MAKIN NEW PHONES EVERY FEW MONTHS! -.
