Is it bad that teens have iPhones?

*this question is to do with a previous question from another Y! Answerer*
So, I don't understand what's so bad about teens having iPhones? In the question people were like its sad they have them? Why?

I have an IPhone 5, and I'm 13? Why is this a bad thing? All my friends have them too but they have older ones (4-4S'). My dad only got me one cos he has one and its insured.

It isn't bad, but it is just stupid. I don't think people like 11-15 should own the worlds most fanciest phone. They don't even need it. I'm 13 and I don't even have a phone…

It might be just because those sorts of people have android or windows phones and are trying to use what's good about their os' against yours. Go in public somewhen soon, have your iPhone out or whatever and see how many people call your phone stupid. I guarantee it will be none.

Many people are under the misconception that all teenagers are irresponsible and can't be trusted with any sort of expensive item. I don't think teenagers having iPhones is a bad thing, so long as they take care of the phone. I know some adults who lose their iPhones/Androids once every couple of months, and some teenagers who have had the same iPhone for two years without a scratch. It's a maturity thing.

Only because people didn't have one at your age or still don't and because they think you don't deserve it/haven't worked for it. They also may think you won't take care of it. I say anyone who has one deserves it. Whether you had tonpay for it or not. If I had children and the money for it, I would probably buy a nice phone for them too. The other people talking would be rubbing it in everybody's face!

I don't really have a problem with people 15+ having them. As long as they are mature.

I'm 16 and have had an LG Ally for about 2-3 years now, and the worst that has happened to it, is that my mom dropped it and broke some of the plastic off.

Anyways, I think it is more a maturity thing, I know some 15-17 year olds who are just now getting phones, and I think most of those are either from Christmas, or buying the phones themselves. I actually would love to have an Iphone, because I hate carrying an ipod touch, and my phone, but I would either have to buy my own, or wait until my parents move me to another company(we don't want to lose my mom's unlimited internet with verizon).

My parents got me the iPhone 4 because it was their fault that my old phone broke and my birthday was coming up. It was those two things combined.

I don't think it's bad for teens to have iPhones.
You're 13 though and you have the brand new iPhone? Now, I think that's ridiculous. I didn't even get my first smart phone until I was 16.
