One should never talk on any phone when it lasts at only one cell. This is because, the radiation becomes 1000 times stronger. So, never talk on your iphone until it drains. It can harm you. Even don't use it when it has only one cell left.
Bad in the sense the battery of course dies, but otherwise, no. Just using the phone as it could be.
No memory problems with an Iphone battery. You can talk until the battery goes dead, then recharge it… I keep it charging, anytime I'm not using it.
