Is it considered stolen property now?
Last friday i chilled with this kid a yr younger then me i'm 17 hes 16 and he had asked to borrow my ipod. He has a iphone. I said no more then times then when we went downstairs i had seen he had slid my ipod touch into his front pocket. So i said wheres my ipod? He said i think you left it upstairs. Then i got mad i was like *** i seen you put it on yo pocket! And he gave it back he was like come on let me borrow it because he was going to a basketball game and wanted to listen to music like. He has a iphone coulda used that. Anyway i got sick of the nagging so i said yeah fine but i better get it back he swore up and down he would. Now its almost been a week and hes dodging me avoiding my calls and texts. I have texts in my phone from him saying hed return it and stuff.
And get this he was in my city yesterday! Its clear hes avoiding me.
So my question is if i take this to the police do i report it as stolen property
or how do i approach this the proper way to get it back?

- Would this be considered a breach of intellectual property? If an iPhone repair company registered the domain "iChipped.com", while another iPhone repair company operating in the same geographic area already used the domain "iCracked.com" Aren't the words chipped and cracked used interchangeably?
- Where do random lost property go? Example, if a bunch of kids were play fighting and one of their iPhones fell underneath the car behind the tire and they never found it. Where do i hand it in to? I was thinking the police station or the council.

- Pressing charges for damaged property? I was recently over at a friends house, when her and her boyfriend started fighting he ended up taking MY iPhone and throwing it out the front door shattering my screen and my camera doesn't work. He won't give me the money to get a new phone so I wanna press charges and force him to pay me. Is this possible, if so how do you go about doing it?!
