Is it ok to leave iphone charger plugged in the wall all the time?

Will it some how hurt the charger or the iphone. More importantly will it catch fire if left in 24/7?

Its okay to leave your charger plugged in by itself all the time, but don't over charge your phone, it ruins the battery

Yes you can. I leave mine plugged in all the time. It hasn't left my wall in 6 months.

No! If you do your iphone will come alive and eat you! Itll happen soon! RUN NOW!

It won't hurt the charger at all. I've had mine in the wall for maybe 4 months. Don't charge your iPhone 24/7, because that will hurt the battery of the iPhone and make it run less efficiently.

I always plug mine in overnight, no issues. I never shut it off either, just flip the little switch in the corner to make it go silent.

It's OK to leave it plugged in all the time. The phone has circuitry and software that prevents overcharging, and the charger itself is designed to be plugged in all the time (it wouldn't be legal to sell a charger that has to be unplugged after a while or it'll catch fire, etc.)

The charger might last a little longer if you only plug it in when you need to charge, but either way you'll probably be getting a new phone that comes with a new charger, before you'll need to replace the charger.

  • Should I leave Bluetooth on all the time? My parents just surprised me with my first car for my 16th birthday. It has the SYNC feature built in so that I can talk hands free if needed. My iPhone 5s needs to be connected through Bluetooth for it to work. I was wondering if I should just leave Bluetooth on at all times, or turn it on when I get in the car and off when I get out? Does leaving it on all the time drain battery?
  • My iphone won't stay turned off unless its plugged into the wall? I shut my phone off, but as soon as it turns off it comes back on. But then i plugged it into the charger and it stays off. I then unplugged it and it came back on. What the hell is going on and how do i fix it?!
  • My iPhone won't turn on unless its plugged into a wall charger? My first issue is, my phone won't turn on unless its plugged into the wall. When it finally turns on after being plugged in it tells me my phone needs to be restored and that it can't make or receive calls until so, well great but, when i unplug it from the wall it immediately turns off and will not turn on when plugged into my computer. I've tried different USB cables but none of them work.
