Is it okay to leave my iphone 5 off for 3 months straight?
because i'm going to Marine Corps Bootcamp soon and the three months there i won't be able to use my phone.
if it is okay, at what battery percentage should I turn it off at? 100%? 50%? Or should i just drain the battery and recharge it after the 3 months?
As long as you do not leave it plugged in, it's fine. Battery "memory" is a myth. No matter what you leave your phone at, when you get back your phone will have no battery. It slowly leaks. So I imagine leaving your phone with no power is the best option.
You just drain you battery and go. If you charge your battery and go then your battery will destory when you come back.
Apple states that: "For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, it's important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down)."
While leaving the iPhone dead for 3 months is not ideal, I do not believe it will damage the battery. At the very worst I could see it reducing the battery life slightly. I would charge the iPhone fully and then turn it off completely (not just lock it). This way, the battery will be inactive for less time than it would be if you were to drain it and leave it. It is best to keep the battery active as long as possible to retain more battery life.
Yes it would be fine. Doesn't really matter what % you leave it at since it will be off for the time anyway.

Anyways, the program that is needed to run will run for a few days to a week at its most. Is it okay if I left my laptop on and disabled it from "sleeping" for the days it needs to be left on?
