Is it possible for iMessage to do this?
If your phone is off but you can still use iMessage to text other iPhones because you have Wi-Fi do the other person who phone is on have to use Wi-Fi to receive the iMessage u sent them and the ones there trying to send to you. Or since their phone is on they don't need Wi-Fi to receive iMessages or send then
As long as you have Wi-Fi they will be able to send you iMessages. They do not need Wi-Fi to do this
- Why can't I activate iMessage on my iPhone 4S? I went to jamaica and used iMessaging when i was there with Wi-Fi. And now that I'm back in new york the iMessaging won't work or activate. What do i do? Every time i turn it back on and re-enter my password it says that an error occurred and to please try again. I've restarted my phone multiple times and did a hard reset, nothing works.
- Limited texting and imessage? Okay so i have an iphone. And i have limited texting. Only 100 a month. Does that still apply to imessage? In other words, if i text friends that have an iphone and have imessage, does it still count in the 100 texts?

I'm trying to convince my parents to buy me an iPhone, but which one do I buy and can it be used without the plan for $40 or $30?
