Is it possible for me to get a sim card in india for my iphone 4?
I'm South African and i will be on holiday in indi for a month… I would like to know the procedures for me to purchase a sim crd for my iphone… In this case it would have to be a micro sim.
As long as your phone is 'unlocked' - just bring a sharp pair of sissors - you and literally just cut down a regular sim to make it into a micro sim - there are plenty of instructionals on how to do this on youtube!
Sara is right you have to unlock the phone first to use in india
reg getting sim, it is easy, sims are literally sold on footpaths/pavements and petty shops., but to buy a sim, you have to have identity proof (this is no problem as you can provide the photo copy of your passport ), but the main hitch is address proof (local address), without which it is difficult to get the SIM
