Is it possible for police to put spyware on an iPhone?
Would it be possible for police to put spyware on an iPhone that they had in their possession? And would a factory reset destroy any spyware?
It's possible but also illegal without a warrant.
A factory reset would completely erase everything on your phone so yes it would delete spyware.
It is possible, all they would really have to do is convince a judge and they can get the approval within 24 hours. Ever since the Patriot Act came out though there have been numerous cases where they didn't even have to go through this process.
