Is it possible to get a virus from downloading an app in cydia?
I was thinking about jailbreaking my iPhone 4s, but I was wondering if there was a possibility that my phone could get a virus from an app that I might download. If so, are there any good virus protection apps?
Yes, but it's very unlikely, like trying to download Siri on iPhone 4, but if you download Mobile Substrate you are 100% protected! It gives you the oportunity to delete a harmful app. I HIGHLY recommend you jailbreak.
