Is it possible to get my Iphone 5 from Bell unlocked to work for Telus?

Added (1). I have an Iphone 5 that is Locked with Bell but i want to use it for telus… I heard that right now its impossible to get Bell Iphone 5's unlocked

  • Is an iphone still in the box from telus unlocked? My mother has gotten a new iphone 4 from telus as a replacement for my brothers old phone but he ended up buying another one. She said she'd send it to me but i'm with bell and would like to replace my phone with this one.so, if an iphone has never had a sim in it is it still locked to the carrier? I don't think telus would unlock it if it is as she has canceled my brothers telus account and set him up with bell with is new phone.
