Is it possible to reverse unlocked iPhone?

I purchased an Iphone 4s on Ebay unlocked for T-mobile. It worked great until we made the mistake of doing the ios7 software update which locked the phone. Seller tried for a week to fix the problem and ultimately was limited in the solution and re-unlocked the phone for only 1 carrier (Simple Mobile) which is no use to anybody. My question is can the phone be reset or restored to work with the Carrier this phone originated from (Sprint)? Or could this phone be somehow re-unlocked with T-mobile? Seller said no to both questions. I'm at a loss. This Iphone is in excellent condition BUT is a sunk cost and is useless equipment unless anyone has any suggestions to offer. Any technical advice is greatly appreciated.

A phone must be unlocked by the carrier it is locked with. Once the carrier approves the unlock a full restore as new device will complete the unlock. Ios 7 does not lock the phone if it was properly unlocked. The software update is part of the restore. If it did not unlock a call to the carrier will answer the question why.

All purchases have been transferred but how do I transfer the other music that was acquired differently? I can't seem to be able to access the hidden music folders contained in my iPhone.   • Possible to use unlocked AT&T iPhone 5 on Verizon? I was gifted a new AT&T iPhone 5, but am on a Verizon Wireless plan. Before I go through the trouble of unlocking it, I was wondering if it is possible to use an unlocked AT&T iPhone 5 on Verizon? I tried to do some google research, but couldnt find anything answering my question. Any info is much appreciated.
  • Itunes on iPhone shows albums in reverse chronological order? So I updated my iPhone to iOS7.1.2. Gotta say I really hate it. But anyways, I noticed after I updated it that it messed up the way it shows albums by an artist. So I listen to a band and have all their albums, before it would show the earliest album first. So an album made in 1994 was the first album and I would have to scroll down to get to an album made in 2014. Its switched now. Its a really small thing to be mad at but its really really frustrating. Anyone know how to fix it?
  • Is there anyway I can reverse the iPhone update? So I updated my iPhone to iOS 6, absolute nightmare it's made me set up my phone again but for some reason will not activate! It's driving me mad! is there anyway I can go back and reverse the update?
