Is it possible to stop a iphone 5 from locking to a network?

I got one from the carphone warehouse. I thought it would be 100% unlocked but it locks to the first sim card inserted

Is there a quick legal or illegal way to make the phone a proper 100% unlocked phone?

I don't like the idea of all the effort of getting a refund on the phone. I bought it from somewhere pretty far from where I'm.

You need to understand that it will lock to the first sim card. CPW also state it will remain locked and CAN'T be unlocked.

I personally do not know if this is true, but I have not heard of a this being done, so either it is true or if it can be unlocked no one who has done this has then "bragged" later

REFUND if possible

Of the phone was advertised as unlocked. Then go back and tell them it's locked to 1 carrier. This is called false advertisement. You can tell them the sale of goods act and its unfit for purpose. They advertised it unlocked there for should be 100% unlocked. You have legal right to get them to unlock it and don't pay anything.

  • My iphone 4s has been stolen what does locking it do? My iphone 4s was stolen and i'm planning on locking it. Does this mean the sim card will be locked or the whole phone? Reply as soon as possible would be appreciated.
