I just take the keys from my house ( or car if you prefer) get a good grip around the base of the key and the phone and shove the key inside of the phone ( through the screen) then turn your hand in an unlocking motion…
With Sprint And Verizon, They both use what is actually called a CDMA network. Phones that run on a CDMA network actually don't get unlocked, they get what is called Flashing (which IS legal with the consent of the carrier). "Flashing" is essentially re-writing the software on the phone to read the signals of another carrier. Depending on What Carrier you want to switch to, can determine Where you go to get your phone flashed. You Can't Flash From companies such as Verizon to Sprint though as the bigger carriers (also known as tier 1 carriers) do not offer flashing from other tier 1 carriers. You Can however Flash from a tier 1 to a Tier 2 (such as PagePlus). Try Googling "Flashing to another carrier".
