Is it possible to upgrade iPhone 4 memory?

Now before anyone starts to say no straight away let me give you some details because I'm no idiot.

I know there isn't a memory unit available to swap out on its own without de soldering from the logic board and even then there isn't much chance a new memory unit would work… What if I took my logic card (8gb) and put a lets say 32gb one in… Would it still work? Or will it just break my phone?

I'm struggling with memory since ios7 and to be honest I feel cheated only having 5.8gb available from an 8gb phone

I'm sorry, but you couldn't upgrade it, because the driver for the new memory is not supported from the iphone. That is locked and we can't update it.

That's precisely why apple don't give you expandable storage, and require more space for updates… There's nothing you can do, best thing store all your photos on icloud, delete them all from your device, get rid of all music and use spotify.

Won't work, the firmware for the phone will still only see 8GB even in the unlikely event you desolder and resolder it without bricking the phone. Apple will gladly sell you a new iphone with more non-upgradeable memory though.
