Is it safe to buy from gumtree?
I'm thinking about buying iPhone 4S 16GB from GumTree and want to meet the person who sellls it, but what if the person will report it stolen and block it? How can I prove I bought it?

Usually you would go to the house to collect items sold on gumtree. If thy ask you to meet somewhere else I'd be highly suspicious. Maybe rite up some kind of receipt and ask them to sign it! Also there should be some kind of trace to show they advertised it on there in the first place, of not, take a screen shot of the gumtree page, email the seller through there and print off any correspondence you receive
No! Could be Organized criminal using the website to kidnap victims and either hold them for ransom or sell them into Human/Sex Trafficking networks in other countries. This is VERY REAL and Happens VERY OFTEN. The authorites can only do so much to keep us all safe

- Should I buy an Iphone 5 of gumtree or craigslist? There's a 16gb one for £110 from gumtree and a 64gb one for £280, its cheap but it still seems a little bit shady so i'm not too sure? Is it worth it or will i probably get a faulty phone or scammed?
