Is it safe to give my iPhone IMEI and serial #s?
I sold my old iPhone 4 on ebay and some guy is asking for the Serial and IMEI
He has not paid for the item yet and I'm wondering if he can do anything malicious with this information that may prohibit the sale to himself or future buyers if he decides not to pay.
I don't know why he would need them, but I don't know of anything bad he could do with them… Maybe he's trying to check to make sure the phone isn't stolen before he pays for it. I'd ask him what he wants with it, since that's your phone's identity.
- Where is the serial number on my alvin and the chipmunks dvd case? I bought this movie quite a while back and i'm just getting around to transferring the digital copy onto my computer and iphone. But I can't find the *** serial number and the little numbers I entered that were on the barcode said that my number wasn't 'valid'. Please help me! I seriously am going to *** explode if i don't find this number
- When you give APPLE a defective IPHON do they give you a reconditioned one back? My IPHONE had a defect, still under warranty, so I took it to an Apple MAC store and after a few days they gave it back, supposedly repaired. Now the replaced IPHONE has a problem, different than the previous problem I'm now having a problem with the taking a photo. Do they just replace your phone with a reconditioned one they say no but?
- My iPhone Serial Number (IMEI) has been blocked? I bought an iPhone off someone and the serial number (IMEI) has been blocked. It is on T - Mobile network. What can I do to get it un blocked? Can I get it unlocked to all networks if i pay for it as i have a Vodafone contract and would like to use it in the iPhone
- Is it safe too give someone your iPhone UDID? Someone i know wants me to beta test some of they are company's app's, But for me to do that i need iSO 7 beta, He said i can pay the 100$ Apple fee to have my own personal account, or he'll register my UDiD for free with his, is it safe letting other people do it? What is the UDiD for? I Like to be a secure person and i don't know much about the UDiD or what it is.
