Is it safe to sell iphone on Craiglist and let the buyer wire the money from Paypal?
One guys found my listing on Craiglist and wanted to wire me the money and then I ship him the phone. Is there any way for him to take the money back from my paypal? We're not doing thru Ebay because ebay charges me a ton for selling it.
There are a couple of problems using PayPal.
1. Sometimes the buyer sends a phoney email stating you have been paid and the money will post when you prove you shipped it. There's no such thing.
2. The PayPay account that was used was hacked and did not belong to the buyer. The money is reversed when the theft is found out.
There's no perfectly safe way but I would rather trust it when the money shows up in the account first and just hope it wasn't hacked. Do not trust an email.
Make sure you mail it to an actual address in the US. No post office box or foreign addresses.

- Would you buy an iphone 5 off craiglist? I've bough things off Craigslist before but never electronics, I'm abit worried about all the insurance scams that presently go on with cell phone carriers and the bad imei/ESN phones on Craigslist. Would you buy an iphone off Craigslist?

I heard that if you buy an item at £700 your not covered because i'm thinking of buying an iphone 5s and it will cost about £610 but my friend said you are only covered up to £500 is that right or are you covered for the whole cost of the item thanks it will be much appreciated
- Should I buy an iPhone 4S off of Craiglist? A lot of people seem reluctant to buy iPhones off of Craigslist, but I'm not sure why. At least someone can test out the phone to make sure it's working with Craigslist, something that's not possible with eBay. Because if I bring my SIM card to the transaction, I'll be able to know if it's working or not, right? So what do you think of buying iPhones off of Craiglist. Answers from people who have actually done this would be especially appreciated.
