Is it too late to put iPhone in rice when water dripped inside?
If a little bit of water dripped into the bottom of my iPhone 4S, is it too late to put it into rice 24hrs later when I believe the water is already dried. My volume doesn't work, only headphones do.
Try it for a few days and see what happens. Don't turn the phone on while you are working on drying it out. Turning it on can cause a short if some water is still inside.
This happened to me but I had an android so I was able to pull out the battery and everything which works better… But since you have an iphone the longer you keep it submerged in rice, the better. I thought mine was okay so I oulled it out but it keps shutting down so I left it in there for a good 7 hours and then it was fine.
I think it only works with phones with removable batteries.
- Is it too late to return my iphone x and switch to iphone 8? I got my iphone x in novemeber around thanksgiving. I had it for 2 months now and i'm really annoyed by it and i feel like iphone 8 is a lot better… Do you think i will be able to just order an iphone 8 get that set up and get a refund on my iphone x?
- Is it too late to put my iPhone 6 plus in rice? On Friday night ai accidentally threw my phone inside a bucket of redbull now it has lines on the left side of the screen with purple and green. Is it late to use the rice technique?
- Is it too late to put my iPhone 5 in rice? I dropped my iPhone 5 into the toilet 2 days ago while using iFunny (how clumsy) and it stayed in the toilet for about 10 seconds. I took it out and dried it off with a towel. I didn't have any rice at home at the time so I just left it there. I'm wondering now if it's too late to put it in rice, or should I put it in more water to get the full effect of the rice (I don't think so… ) or should I just carry it to the apple store.
- Is it too late to get the iphone 4s? I have the iphone 4 at the moment and i hoping to get the 4s next month because i don't really like the 5 very much, but is it too late to get the iphone 4s and ill have to keep it for 2 year because of the contract so will it be considered as old.
