Yes this is true, the reasoning for this is that the it would be too much on the older hardware and it would make the device slow.

  • Tilt feature on my new iPhone 5 is not working properly? I just bought a new iPhone 5 today, but the tilt is being really weird. I tried to play doodle jump but the iPhone acts like I'm constantly titling to the right side. But I'm not.   • Nightshift for iPhone 5C? Third party app recommendation? Ok so as you may know, iOS 9.3 came with the new nightshift feature which makes your screen more yellow allowing for better sleep. However, this feature is not included for iPhone 5C and down (5, 4S). Is there a third party app from the internet that allows the same effects? No jailbreaking required please. Link if possible. I do have a Mac if needed.
