Is it ungrateful to ask for a new iphone this christmas when I got a iphone 5 last Christmas?

If i got a new iphone i would be giving this one to my sister or dad or someone.

Ask for it if you want to. The worst they can say is no and you'll have to wait a year.

iPhones are very expensive unless they're getting them on contract for you. Once you get to a certain age your parents will not buy these things for you anymore anyway e.g. 16, 18, 21. Whatever age it is you need to make the most. If there's other things you'd like then ask for those instead.

Is there something a new iPhone can do that your current iPhone 5 can't? The real price for an iPhone by the way is $600. Oh, maybe they only pay $200 up front, but they pay another $20 or $25 a month extra until the phone is paid off. Hell, they are still paying for your iPhone 5!

May I make a suggestion? Phones and other toys will come and go. Few will have any real meaning to you. Experiences on the other hand leave memories that can last a life time.

Example: I still fondly remember a trip to Disneyland my Dad took us on when I was 5. I still remember the fun I had on a river rafting trip with my brother and sister and their kids 20 years ago.

Instead of asking for the latest toy this Christmas, ask for an experience instead. Something you've wanted to do. And do it with friends or family and form some memories for a lifetime (and pictures don't hurt either)!

I don't necessarily think it's ungrateful. I think it's selfish… Especially if your parents don't make alot…
times are tough right now no matter who you are or what you make. I just got my daughter a 5s… I would be mad if she asked for the new one any time soon… Try to be deserving of it… Keep your room clean… Clean the bathroom… Dishes etc. Help your parents out a little bit… Don't forget it doesn't just stop art buying you a phone… They pay the bill every single month

  • Why are some people so ungrateful of everything? I was wondering why kids these days are so ungrateful of the stuff they have? In my school kids are always bitching that they don't have the latest iPhone or the best computer. I mean they already have expensive electronics and stuff so why are they always wanting stuff? There's this one kid named Matthew and he has like 2 iPod's, a iPhone 5 and an AlienWare laptop(all of which his mom got him) and hes always complaining that he has nothing. What's your view on this?
  • Why are some American teens so ungrateful? I don't know healthy young American teens seem so overprivileged to me. They worry about things like looking hot (even tho we all get old and ugly), their iphone battery and complain about school (even though they are lucky to be getting an education). Based on my calculations that kids are starving in third world countries and others plagued by horrible diseases, why aren't healthy American kids jumping for joy 24/7 instead if complaining about trivial issues?
  • My ask.fm won't let me ask anonymous? I have an iPhone 4, and I didn't update to iOS7. When the ask.fm app had an update recently, it didn't allow people to ask anonymous. So people could delete it then just not update it when they redownloaded it. Well I have deleted it like 3 times and I haven't updated it either. Why can't I ask anonymous questions still? And how can I?
  • Is it rude to ask for an iphone 5c or 5s for Christmas? I already have a phone but I want an iphone. I feel rude asking for expensive stuff. My parents are always talking about getting my mom an iphone, but they never said anything about me getting one.
