Unless you preorder, no phone is worth buying on the first day.

I will be in line on sept 19th. Just like I was the first day iPads came out. It seems to always come out on my birthday.

In my opinion yes, I'm pretty sure this is the most affordable iphone release yet, 2 or 300 isn't bad especially considering that days before the iPhone was released the estimated price was like 700 dollars so it's not that bad in my opinion.

Sure if you want to be interviewed or photographed in line or with the first one in X city, holding one. Or if you have the cash to buy one, why not?

Not really. Generally the first round of any electronic produced and then distributed on the release date are buggy (i.e. Freeze up, glitch, have problems). I would recommend waiting a few months at least for them to respond to user complaints about bugs and such and to iron out any kinks because it's impossible for any product to be perfect when it is first released. On top of that, as long as you have the iPhone 4S or newer, iOS 8 is released to you the same day the iPhone 6 comes out, and delivers all of the features the iPhone 6 will come with. The only thing you're missing out on is the design and internal specs of the iPhone 6.

I would ask you to wait a bit till Apple fixes all the glitches and errors of the new iPhones.
