Is Jailbreaking Illegal for Iphones?

I'm thinking about jailbreaking my Iphone but i'm not sure if it is illigal and what is voids like waranty. Please give me detailed information about it.

It's not illegal. Apple have said it isn't. But it's going to void any warranty you have on it, and when it's jailbroken it's loads more likely to crash, so you'd need the warranty even more then. It's not worth the risk, besides, it means you won't be able to update your phone's software without removing the jailbreak, updating and rejailbreaking again.

Its not illegal. It takes less then 5 minutes. You won't loose anything if you mess up as long as you backup before (like you should). If you still have a warranty and something goes wrong you just have to restore it and nobody will ever know unless you tell them. The chance of something going wrong that is covered under warranty is slim. Impossible to brick an idevice because of hacked software so you have Nothing to loose except a small amount of time.
