Is my family considered poor?

Okay so i think we're. All my friends are rich, they have big houses and stuff and i live in an apartment. Yeah in downtown but tbh i'm so greatful for or apartment cuz its pretty nice but yeah i never invite them over because… Well there house is about 5-6 bigger. My mom is a pca and fets paid like $11 an hour and my dad is like a manager of the floor care idek what to call that lol its a bad job but he gets paid like $14 and hour but he doesn't live with us he gives us money though. I can't afford all the clothes i want though cuz i can't afford it but i have an iphone and uggs and a northface basically my family spends too much on luxuries.

If you are going to compare yourself to others, there's always going to be someone richer than you.
Sounds to me that you are fairly well off, and are having your needs met. And some excesses too (the phone, the uggs, etc) Does it really matter that your friends might have more money than you?

Sounds like you need to get a new group of friends. Yes, you are in a lower income bracket than them, but does that make them better than you? No, it doesn't. If anything, they're probably spoiled brats. Work hard, and try to get a decent education and a good paying career. But most of all, make sure it is something you enjoy.

I don't even know why I'm answering this question, but do you want people to sympathize, or feel bad for you or something? The fact that you threw in at the end, "but I have an iPhone and Uggs and a Northface" is completely irrelevant and it seems that you're bragging about the things you have, yet you're asking people if you're poor. Be thankful that your parents have jobs and that they put a roof over your head and food on the table.

Just some advice… I live in one of those giant houses, but what I've learned is that your happiness doesn't stem from the amount of money or materialistic things you have, but instead your friends, family, and the people you surround yourself with. So be thankful for the people in your life and stop comparing yourself to your friends because in the long run, having everything in the world means nothing if you're not surrounded by the people that you care about and love.

U re beyond the poverty lines. 11 per hour and 14 per hour is very, very, very little. And having uggs and north face jacket is NOT considered you have luxury items.having a bently (do you even know what it is) and a summer house on the shore are.yes, u re poor
