Is my iPhone factory warranty voided?
I have an iPhone 4 that I originally pitched from AT&T and it came with a 1 year apple warranty if anything happens to the software I bring it in to an apple store they fix it or give me a new phone free of charge. But I unlocked my phone 2 weeks ago using unlocksexpress.com so I could switch carriers and save money. Did I void my warranty?
It depends on whether or not Apple would be willing to give you support if something were to happen to your phone (I.e.water damage, cracked screen, etc.) I'd just be careful with your phone as long as you want it. According to the Library of Congress, jailbreaking and unlocking phones is legal, but it's up to the manufacturer whether the warranty is void or not.

- Will the iPhone 5 lose it warranty when the iPhone 5s and 5c come out? I know that my sister's friend bought a iPhone 4 about a 6 months ago and she found out the hard that they are no longer under warranty, for if something goes wrong. I currently do not own a smart phone and was thinks of getting a iPhone 5 since the prices will be cheaper now. My fear is that since it is cheaper they will not give a warranty. So does anyone know the deal with Apple and whether they are going to contine covering the iPhone 5 under their warranty?
