Is PYLE or Craig a good brand for audio?
I'm on a tight budget, so I need something low priced. I'm a teen so i'm not going to go with the top brands since I can't afford that. I found these and a few others on ebay, could I get your opinion on them?

I probably wouldn't go with the RCA one since it is only 30 watts, but if its good then I would go for it.
anyway, I have a 75 watt subwoofer and kinda just needed this for my xbox gaming and movie watching. I also need this for music though which is why I need an aux imput so I can also connect my subwoofer to it. I don't need anything to extreme, just something that would go good with my sub. All connections would be with red and white cables, and 3.5mm cables. No amplifier, so would this be a bad combo? The sub does have its own volume setting.
also, can you recommend anything? Are soundbars even good? I was looking to buy computer speakers, but those seem to be more expensive and much less watts.
on best buy, there's Theatre solutions and a home theater of 400 watts for $80! Should I? Link doesn't fit
I'd go with the Craig system
Pyle and Craig are bottom line bargain basement brands… A lot depends on how particular you are about sound quality and how sensitive your ears are to certain imperfections… All those units mentioned are going to have some short comings and imperfect sound; so a lot has to do with which unit is least offensive to you and what you are willing to accept as a compromise… Some people will see the bass as the most important thing some people the clarity of the voices… Others the crispness of the highs, Features also have a lot to do with it ; some people need their i-phone to connect etc… Picking one that has the features you need can be very important so be sure you understand what the limits are of each unit… Usually as a general rule the more expensive a unit is the more flexible it is and the less expensive a unit is the less flexible and more limited it is to adapt. None in that price range are going to have everything… So choose the one that has the best possibilities for your needs knowing it does not have everything…
Pyle brands are the ones sold at the swap meets. Their car speakers are ok, but other than that, they are junk.
Craig brands are the ones sold at drug stores, like CVS, Vons, even Ralphs. Cheap brand that don't really perform well and don't last long.
I would stay away from those brands. I really don't buy my home audio equipment in drug stores or grocery store.
Now the RCA is a better brand than the two. Pyle and Craig may have written spec that may appear better than RCA, but usually those specs are not accurate.
RCA too is not that great. Try spending a little more money and invest on a much better brand like a Yamaha, JBL, or Pioneer.
I would not even look at them, they are garbage. I would not depend on the power rating they provide or any bargain price system that have high power rating. Keep in mind that the most powerful high end receiver in the market only provides you with a 150 watts per channel. Let your own ears be the final judge. Bottom line is, you get what you pay for. Hope this will help you out.
Both are pretty much like buying something out of the back of a white van in the dead of night, in the alley behind K-mart. Only slightly worse than some china imports, though. On par with Emerson electronics, some table radio equipment.
They are truly an extreme… The worst money can purchase. Don't take this as absolute advice, but one of those cheap RCA home theater in a box systems at WalMart are better units for the money. That is not saying a lot.
Also don't pay any attention to the wattage ratings on this junk, as it's fake and honestly has nothing to do with quality.
Why not shop used? For these prices you can find a much nicer older stereo system on Craigslist of vastly superior quality.
- What is a good brand for an iphone case? I'm looking for a case for my iphone 4. What are some good brands that are inexpensive, but offer protection and aren't very bulky?
- What is a good audio editing software for Mac to remove background noise? I want to remove some of the background noise from some recordings I have of my college class's lecture that I recorded on my phone. I was curious if there are any programs for Mac that audiophiles would recommend. It would mostly be removing any sharp noises in the background that are distracting like doors closing or people coughing. Also, if it matters, I was curious if there were iPhone apps for recording that would improve my ability to do this other than the built in voice memos app?
- What good sites can I get audio books for free? What are some sites or apps that will allow me to download full good quality audio books onto my iphone (preferably to be done entirely on the iphone)? No monthly fees please.
