Is silicone case for iphone 4s good enough for safety?

I've seen many YouTube videos and the iPhone 4s doesn't break even when dropped face down w/ a simple silicone case? Is that always true? Just wanna make sure before I buy one, first time being an iPhone girl thanks.

The plain silicone ones are ok, but after having my son break the glass on his 4s twice, I would really recommend one of the Defender series hybrid cases from Otterbox. They are made of very rugged silicone, with a rigid foam insert inside to protect the back glass. One of our dogs stole his iPhone off of the sofa, and took it outside to play with it. She chewed on it for a few minutes before we caught her. The case itself was damaged, but the phone was completely fine. Here's a link to one on Amazon:

Sometimes. It depends how hard the fall. But the best ones for iphone is either an Otterbox of anysorts (I prefer Defender) or one of those water proof cases. I had one of those and it worked great. So many times it fell in water and it never broke. Plus, the case is durable and so many times I dropped my phone and was afraid of shattering it but the case protected.

  • Will a silicone iPhone 4/4S case fit an iPod Touch 4? I really want this case, but its for an iPhone 4/4S. Have you tried an iPhone 4/4S case on an iPod Touch 4, and did it work? Here's the case: http://www.amazon.com/...00A9Q4JKM/ It's really cheap, but I still want to know if it will work. Even if it will be a bit loose, I'll get it, but I want to make sure all of the plugs like the headphone jack are in the same place.
  • Will a iPhone 5 Silicone Case fit for an iPhone 5C? Okay so I have the iPhone 5C and I recently bought a iPhone 5 soft silicone case online but, I didn't mean to buy the 5, I meant to get the 5C case except I read the text wrong. Here's a picture of the case I bought on accident: I know iPhone 5C has a more round design but do you still think it'll fit? And for the hole where you get the charge in and stuff on the bottom will that fit with an iPhone 5 case if I have a 5C?
  • Which protects the iphone better Silicone or Hard Case cover? For example if I dropped it would the force be transferred to the phone more readily when using a hard cover?
  • Which is better: a silicone or a plastic iPhone case? Yesterday, I got an iPhone 5s and am currently using a basic plastic case until I can order a new one tomorrow. The one I plan to get is a Rilakkuma case, but there are of course two choices: plastic or silicone. Which one seems to offer the best protection? Given I dropped my iPod Touch a lot, I know I'm going to need a good case so I don't break my new phone. So… Silicone or plastic cases?
